It is the aim of this program to prepare students for their first season of attending Local Schooling Shows in the Beginner division, Hunter or Jumper classes.
June 5th 7:00 to 8:30
Bring your notebooks and questions as we will be giving you an outline of the preparations for a show day and what takes place during the day itself. You will be given an equipment and clothing list, tentative timetable and a protocol overview.
June 9th 7:00 to 8:30
Preparing your Horse: Bathing, braiding, polishing tack cleaning. Wear your old clothes and rubber boots.
June 30th 9:00 to 12:00
Mock Show Day: You will braid and prepare and then you will be coached through the process of all your classes, what to do in a flat class, all the helpful hints we can give you, how to present your jumping round from warm up to leaving the ring. Care of horses between classes. And care upon returning back to the barn.
We will be attending Meadowlarke Series July 2, August 7, September 4th
You do not have to attend all the shows. However there is a seasonal banquet overall series awards if you attend all three shows.
Cost of the three preparation days: $110.00 includes printed material, bath and braiding, supplies and instruction. Use of the horse for June 30th is an additional $30.00
Coaching fee on the day of the show is $50.00 per person
Day fee for the horse is $50.00
Transportation to be determined a week before the show
Entry fees and Membership fees are additional
